At The Knight Shop, we're proud to support more than just HEMA clubs and events. Throughout the year, we also sponsor a wide range of worthwhile causes, charities, historical societies, museums, reenactment groups, educational projects, and community events.
While we naturally give preference to initiatives that promote history, heritage, martial arts, or historical education, we're always happy to hear about other deserving projects.

HEMA Sponsorship
The Knight Shop has proudly supported HEMA events since the World-Wide Open Championships in 2007. Since then, Historical European Martial Arts has grown into a highly organised, competitive and professional sporting community, and we are proud to continue supporting clubs, organisers and competitors across the UK and beyond.
As more clubs and events request sponsorship each year, we have created a simple tiered sponsorship programme. This helps us provide fair and appropriate support based on the size of each event.
What We Can Provide
Depending on the size of your event, sponsorship may include:
- £50 gift vouchers
- Gold, silver and bronze medal sets
- Event banner support for UK events
- Promotional support where appropriate

Vouchers
Each sponsorship voucher is worth £50 and can be used against products on our website. Vouchers may be awarded however the event organiser feels is most appropriate, such as tournament prizes, special awards, raffle prizes or volunteer recognition.
Medals
Sponsored events will receive medal sets according to the event size shown above. Our medals have a plain reverse side, allowing organisers to arrange engraving locally if required.
Additional medals may be purchased separately through our retail website.
Event Banners
For UK events with 50+ participants, we may provide a banner for display during the event. The banner must be displayed clearly throughout the event and may be kept by the club for future use.
If a replacement banner is required due to loss or damage, a replacement can be supplied for £10.
What We Ask in Return
In return for sponsorship, we ask organisers to help promote The Knight Shop / The HEMA Shop as an event sponsor.
This may include:
- Displaying our logo on event pages, websites or promotional materials
- Featuring us in any sponsor section of your event website or programme
- Displaying our banner clearly during the event where supplied
- Tagging or mentioning us in relevant social media posts
- Sending us event photos that may be used for promotional purposes
We will provide logo files and a short company description once sponsorship is confirmed.

The Knight Shop is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of historical swords, armour, HEMA equipment, replica weaponry and medieval giftware. Established in 1999, we serve collectors, martial artists, re-enactors, clubs, museums and heritage organisations across the UK and around the world.

Important Information
- Sponsorship requests should be submitted at least one month before the event.
- Sponsorship is subject to approval and availability.
- We reserve the right to refuse sponsorship requests where appropriate.
- Sponsorship may be withdrawn if agreed terms are not met.
- Banners are available for UK events only.
- Vouchers are supplied in £50 values.
